CDC advises states to prepare to distribute Covid-19 vaccines in “late October”

Interesting news this week, as the CDC has notified public health officials around the United States to prepare to distribute a potential CoronaVirus vaccine as soon as “late October”. The CDC has also provided planning scenarios to help states prepare, and used the terms “Vaccine A” and “Vaccine B” in its communications.

Apparently, the CDC has hinted that the COVID-19 vaccines supply “may be constrained”; and has further advised the states on who should get vaccinated first, namely, healthcare professionals, essential workers, national security “populations” and long-term care facility residents and staff.
